Job Description

Provide 24 hour Network Health surveillance and alarm reporting utilizing network monitoring and surveillance software.
Manage service desk requests and coordinate support with IT infrastructure teams.
Perform standardized maintenance and administrative functions related to IT infrastructure systems.
Ability to follow NOC instructions and processes as well as contribute to the objectives of Network Operations Center.
As this individual often represents the internal and external customers and colleagues – professionalism is a must.
Must possess strong interpersonal skills and have the ability to interact with all levels of employees in a professional manner.
As an essential function of this position, the employee must be able to handle high levels of stress satisfactorily and be congenial with other employees and customers at all times.
Critical thinking is essential in fast paced environment of NOC. Need to be extrapolated from one situation to another in handling the Issues.

Requirements

Educated to degree level or equivalent sufficient to demonstrate competency in the main responsibilities detailed above.
Team player, self motivator, with excellent Can “DO” Motivation.
Strong knowledge on Network, Windows server Family and VM ware, Citrix and Linux Preferred.
Current Cisco CCNA certification Mandatory and CCNP, VMware, Citrix, Linux certification Preferred.
Sound Knowledge on NOC monitoring Platforms.
Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook.


Responsibilities

NOC Engineer L2 will provide day-to-day network and infrastructure monitoring and support performs the Troubleshooting to the related issues coordinating with NOC Engineer Level I. This includes front line support being first point of escalation.  This interaction can range from opening Tickets , following-up and closing trouble tickets, via phone or email, to acting as a liaison between the community, and work closely with vendors ISP, Internal IT Team and the all infrastructure departments, Processes to resolving issues, problems and testing all related issues.
