Job Description

Job Purpose (Why does this job exist):
a) To manage end to end plant operations – P&L Role
b) Lead a multi-functional team of professionals for smooth running of the Power Plant ensuring time lines, costs, quality and safety & emission requirements
c) Strong, hands on leader to successfully operate the energy facility
Experience
a) Demonstrated understanding of plant operations for at least 10+ years at a superior level or an independent level of moderate capacity (upto 50 MW) Thermal/Bio mass fired power plants / cogeneration plants
b) Related & updated progressive technical and supervisory experience
c) Must have in-depth knowledge of steam turbine and electric generating equipment
d) Demonstration of competent management, human relation and technical skills
e) Good working knowledge of computer systems and applications
f) Basic understanding of necessary federal and state licenses and permits

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities
a) Independently managing complete technical & administrative issues related to plant operations
b) Operating performance of plan
c) Managing of Operations & Maintenance teams
d) Preparation of Operation Budget and forecasts
e) Reporting of Operation performance of Plants
f) Developing the Operation Management system (SOP’s, Work instructions etc.)
g) Setting KRA’s of operation team for continual improvement of process
h) Resource planning for Operation –manpower, materials and annual contracts
i) Run environment friendly operations and to maintain the emissions within the prescribed norms
j) Ensure adherence to safety, environment and regulatory & statutory and compliance within energy conservation norms
k) Manage operational planning for plant startup& shutdown
l) Any trouble shooting for continuous stability operation of plant
